8 Ways To Cut Fat ....Without Even Realizing It!
1. Slice Fat From Pizza - order your pizza with DOUBLE tomato sauce and LIGHT cheese. Tomatoes are a rich source of lycopene, and by reducing the cheeseby just 1/3 you save 20g of fat, which i guess, equals as much as a McDonald's Quarter Pounder!
2. Order Steak Fries - Large cut fries don't absorb as much oil as shoestring or curly fries, thus lowers the fat count.
3. Juice a Stir-Fry - Add flavor to stir-fried chicken or beef with a can of frozen orange-juice concentrate. All you need is a few spoonfuls, and you can also add garlic for added taste!
4. Soften Your Spread - Soften your butter/margarine to room temperature ( you can do this via microwave if need be ). Chances are you can spread your bread with 1/4 of the fat and calories you do when youpit it on cold.
5. Cool Your Cans - Place you canned meats, soups, gravies, and other canned foods that harbor fat in the fridge. The fat will rise to the top and therefore you can scrap it off before using it!
6. Dilute Your Fruit Juice - Dump half you juice & store it, refull the bottle with water. You will barely notice the taste difference while you cutting half the calories!
7. Oil Your Potato - Put a splash of olive oil on your baked potato instead of butter or sour cream to save on calories & fat.
8. Say Goodbye To Rubbery Cheese - To prevent low-fat cheese from turning rubber in the microwave, spritz your nachos with cooking spray (ie.Pam) before nuking them. Or spray the inside of a grilled cheese sandwich before you toss it in the frying pan. This method adds just enough fat to make the cheese stay gooey and cream as it slowly melts.
TV Stars Who Ruined Their TV Shows
In 1975 McLean Stevenson left the hit show M.A.S.H. which was centered around the Korean War at a medial station. Stevenson figured it was the right time to leave the show halfway threw the third season, and in due fashion, his character was honorably discharged as being shot down over the Sea of Japan. He moved on teh The McLean Stevenson Show, which said lasted one season, much like his next three sitcoms. He later revealed that he regretted leaving MASH and wishes his character hadn't been killed off the show so he could return.
Suzanne Somers left Three's Company in 1981. Somers became a quick rising star playing Chrissy, the ditz! In the shows fifth season, the star demanded a pay raise from $30,000 to $150,000 per episode PLUS 10% fo the show's profits! While the producers "mulled over which cliff to throw her from" she faked a broken rib and a strained back to get out of work. She wasn't in the rest of the season! Somers left the show at the end of the season, and thus developed The Suzanne Somers Show for a different network. The show never aired! Now she's the raining Infomercial queen! Her character on Three's Company was first replaced by herj clutzy cousin Cindy played by Jenilee Harrison, and then by a nurse named Terri, played by Priscilla Barnes, then Janet gradually become the ditzy one. Ratings went wayyy down and the show ended with the last episode of Season Eight. Fans agreeded that after Somers left, the show sucked!
Valerie Harper leaves Valerie in 1987. The network wrote her out of her own show because she wanted it to be SMARTER! She co-starred on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and gained a spin off with Rhoda, and then became Valerie, in sitcome of the same name. During the second seasonm, Valerie and her producer b/f worked to make the show more realistic and less slapsticky. But the executive producers were't buying it. So they focused on the boys instead of her! Harper protested and they killed her off in a car accident. She later won a breach of contract lawsuit for 1.4 MILLION us dollars! The show went on without her and in season three they brought on Sandy Duncan to be the boys aunt and the show was retitled, Valerie's Family: The Hogans and then named The Hogan Family. It lasted three more season and made Jason Bateman a star!
Shelley Long left the hit Cheers in 1987. Shelley won an emmy and TWO Golden Globe awards for her role as Diane Chambers. But she wanted to make more films such as The Money Pit which she filmed with Tom Hanks, and Outrageous Fortune which also starred Bette Midler, so she left in 87. Her best roles afterward were said to be two roles on the Brady Bunch movies. She guest starred as Diane on Fresier and showing up on sitcome like 8 Simple Rules and Modern Family. Shelley was replaced by Kirstie Alley. The show lasted for andother six seasons after Long left.
Lisa Bonet leaves A Different World in 1988. In the 1980's, Bill Cosby breated a spin-off from his show The Cosby Show for is onscreen daughter, Denise Huxtable. The new show would showcase issues that were said to be too hot for them to takle on the Cosby Show such as race, and HIV/AIDS. After just one season, Bonet become pregnant by her now ex-husband Lenny Kravitz, and producers decided to write her out rather than maker her character and unwed mother. So she droped out of college and traveled to Africa for awhile & then returned to The Cosby Show. She was fired after for "creative differences" and wasn't asked to come back for the series finale. A Different World never replaced her character, but put other characters Whitney (Jasmine Guy) and Dwaune (Kadeem Hardison) in the main roles and added new characters. It became a hit series and the show went on for six seasons.
Delta Burke leaves Designing Woman in 1991. Burke played a sassy southerner and gained two Emmy's as Suzanne Sugarbaker. Then she bitched off her bosses and costar Dixie Carter to Barbara Walters and other media outlets. Her bosses were upset about her recent weight gain, but it was said it was the size of her mouth that got her fired at the end of season five. She then dyed her hair blond for the sitcome Delta which aired from 1992-1993, but the show got cancelled when it couldn't hold a candle opposite The Simpsons! She went on to patch things up with the Designing Woman creators and resurrected Suzanne for Women in the House, which only lasted 13 episodes. She has had small roles in movies since and was in the news back in 2008 to discuss her battle with depression and her hoarding obsession. Designing Woman lasted seven seasons.
David Caruso leaves NYPD Blue in 1994. The show debuted in 1993 and became the hottest cop show on air. Tempers flared, bums were flashed and ratings skyrocketed. Caruso won a Gloden Globe and it became a gateway into the lime light. Four episodes into the second season, he left the show in hopes of launching his film career. Kiss of Death and Jade both flopped! And he returned to tv in 1997 for a lawyer drama that didn't last long, before finding his calling, a tv actor none the less, on the hit show CSI: Miami in 2002. NYPD Blue lasted 12 seasons, after Caruso character was replaced by Jummy Smits, then Rick Schroder, and then Mar-Paul Gosselaar. The other star of the show Dennis Franz wont FOUR Emmy's over the shows 12 seasons!
Shannen Doherty Leaves Beverly Hills 90210 in 1994 AND left Charmed in 2001. She left TWO shows the revolved around her. She played four seasons of Brenda Walso on the teen soap Beverly Hills 90210 and then wanted out. Years later, Aaron Spelling, who created Beverly Hills gave her a second chance on his new show, Charmed which centered around three sisters who were witches. Doherty even directed a few episodes in seasons two and three. Which in turn created some drama for co-star Alyssa Milano - thus came Doherty quitting at the end of season three. She's been doing odd tv spots and reality shows since. Beverly Hills 90210 went on for another six seasons when Doherty's character was replace dby Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. Rose McGowan joined the Charmed cast as a half sister which went on for five more season. Both shows lasted longer without Doherty than with her!
David Duchovny leaves The X-Files in 2001. David was on five seasons of a successful aliem conspiracy drama before insisting the show move to LA, so he could be near his bride Tea Leoni. He starred in Return to Me in 2000, and had guest roles on Zoolander, and Evolution in 2001. He left The X-Files in hopes his movie career would take off. It didn't! In 2005 he directed House of D, and then plaed a seedier verison of himself in Californicated in 2007. He brought back Fox Mulder back in a spin-off titled The X-Files: I Want To Believe in 2008 which didn't make any money! The X-Files was pretty much over with when David left. He was replaced by two FBI characters. Rpbert Patrick and Annabeth Gish. After season nine, the show finally ended.
Rob Lowe leaves The West Wing in 2003. He was considered the lead of the show. The show evolved into an Emmy hogging ensembe. He quit after season four when he said he couldn't stand the network's meddling with his character anymore. In 2004, he starred and executive produced The Lyon's Den, which was cancelled after one season, and then tried again in Dr.Vegas with ended after just 10 episodes that same year. He's since been on four seasons of the family soap Brothers & Sisters, after leaving becasue of lack of screen time, and now stars on Parks and Recreation amd Californiaction, as well as some odd tv movies. Lowe's character was replaced by Joshus Malina on The West Wing. He stayed on the show till the seventh & final season. The show was up for Best Drama EVERY season at the Emmy's and took home TWENTY statues in total for cast and crew!
and of course we can't forget Mr. Charlie Sheen from the HIT sitcom Two and a Half Men. He will sure to be kicking himself for screwing that one up down the road
