Season 9 for OTH??

I did quite a bit of research to find the best possible source for the TRUTH!

Now last year when Season Eight was picked up for the entire season, creater, Mark Schwahn told Korbi TV,

"this next year is really a gift to the loyal fans who have stuck with OTH for seven years and deserve to see its storylines tied up properly"

It kinda sounds like this could be the last season! And I am one of those devoted fans! He also says,

".. at the end of the season, if we get 23 episodes, we'll be at 175. So, that 200 number starts to loom and looks realy nice and you know, who knows, stranger things have happened."

Another blogger has blogged that CW president ( the only network to air One Tree Hill ), Dawn Ostroff, isn't ruling out the possibilty of a season 9, taking into account how well the ratings are holding corridanating with how thigns are going creatively.

"Every year it's 'Do we think it can get picked up again? Do we think it can go?' And every year, we pick it up. You never count Mark out. Every year he comes back, and he's made the show better."

So I get the concensus that it's pretty much up to the fans. I think as long as the show gets as good as ratings as they have been, it's a good possibilty that the show could go on. Dawn goes on to say, " we're happy picking it up again... We'd be game if it is still working".

I'm pulling for a season nine!
